Epoxy Floor Cleaning “The do’s and Don’t”

  • Routine maintenance cleaning can be done with either a soft bristle broom or a commercial grade dust mop
  • For heavy Epoxy Floor Cleaning in high traffic areas you will need to sweep prior to cleaning with a broom or dust mop.  Using a hard form mop with hot water and clear ammonia (approximately 4 oz to one gallon of water) is recommended to remove soiling.
  • Do not use any cleaner that contains acid (citrus cleaners, vinegar, etc) or soap based cleaners. Soap based cleaners leave a residue on the floor which hampers the shine and may leave floors slippery when wet.  It is advisable to use materials that are above neutral on the phone cant answer  factor between 7-10 when cleaning
  • It is strongly suggested that you use a walk-off mat inside entranceways to assist in the removal of snow, salt and water from bottoms of shoes when entering.
